FAQ

Can we meet you?

Yes of course! It's important you feel comfortable with me as your photographer, I'll be with you all day on your wedding day! I always recommend a zoom consultation prior to booking. We can discuss what you are looking for in your wedding photographs and we can go from there.

Where are you based and How far will you travel?

I'm based near Birmingham and I'm always happy to travel somewhere new!
When I first started photographing weddings, there were far less venues and it often meant visiting the same selection of venues on rotation. There is such a wider choice of wedding venues out there today and I'm always down for travelling a bit further and going somewhere new!

how would you define your photography style?

Honestly, I'd say balanced and blended. I'm not a traditional photographer but I'm also not a documentary photographer, I'm somewhere in the middle. I'll give you guidance and direction when you want it and I'll be discreet and let you live your day the rest of the time!

How much time do you need on our day?

I will steal you away to get some banging portraits of the two of you (usually 15 minutes during the drinks reception, and another 15 minutes before the party).
Aside from your couple portraits and any group photographs, it will be 5 minutes of your time here and there.
Prior to the day we will set out a plan, align our timings and create a list of the photographs you must have and a list of photographs you'd like to have.
It is your day and we will do what is important to you.

Can we do some group photos?

Yes of course! I would usually suggest a maximum of 8-10 group photographs, we can cover these in 20 minutes. However if you would like more that's absolutely fine but naturally, the more groups we do, the longer it will take!

How will you pose us?

After photographing countless weddings over the last 16 years, I've learnt the best photos are created when the lighting is good and the subjects are moving. Movement is natural and easy, it gives you something to do and takes any feelings of awkwardness away. It creates natural interaction and connection between the subjects, whether that be while taking photos of couples or groups. I'll find the spot with the good lighting, give you a bit of direction and let you do the rest.

How many photographs will we receive?

Depending on the length of time I am with you on the day, you will receive anywhere between 400-600 images. However, if I take more that I think you'll love then I'll include these too. These numbers are not a limit, just a guide.

when do we get our photos back?

You can expect to receive your photographs 8 weeks after the wedding. Sometimes sooner, never later.

Will there be a second shooter?

Including a second photographer within your photography package is an investment. You wont regret it and I recommend it for weddings of 80+ guests. It means we can be in two places at once!

Wedding albums + additional services

You can include an engagement shoot within your package for an additional cost of £300. This is a great opportunity to get a feel for how I shoot and take the edge off any photography nerves I know a lot of couples can have! You can expect to receive 30 images displayed on your own private online gallery where you can view, share and download.

I offer a small range of luxury wedding albums, prices are available upon request.

Wedding invitations, Thank You cards and printing options are also available.

How do we book?

Once we have had a chat about your requirements and the different options available, I require a deposit of £250 to secure the date. The balance is due 4 weeks prior to the wedding.
