Capturing Lizzie & Andy's Oxfordshire Wedding was an absolute delight from start to finish. With the whole day based within the beautiful village of Islip, the day flowed with such ease. From getting ready all the way through to the party, it was a wedding brimming with love, joy, and unforgettable moments.
Lizzie got ready at a lovely cottage with her nearest and dearest, just a stone's throw away from Andy’s family church, the charming St Nicholas Church. As I arrived at the cottage, the air was filled with excitement and anticipation. Lizzie looked immaculate—pure perfection.
Lizzie, being a wedding photographer herself, brought an unparalleled attention to detail to every aspect of the day, ensuring that every moment was visually stunning and aesthetically pleasing.
The ceremony at St Nicholas Church was simply breathtaking, and the church was filled with flowers and trees that framed the altar. With its historic charm and picturesque surroundings, it provided the perfect backdrop for Lizzie and Andy to exchange their vows.
After the ceremony, Lizzie & Andy led their wedding party to the marquee, just a five-minute walk away, stopping briefly at Andy’s Mum’s Garden where we captured their portraits amidst the apple trees. It was a moment of calm before the festivities continued at the marquee, where their guests eagerly awaited their arrival.
The atmosphere at the marquee was electric. Laughter filled the air as heartfelt speeches were delivered, toasts were made, and glasses clinked in celebration. But the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the party. Lizzie and Andy know how to throw an incredible bash, and their brass band kept everyone on the dance floor. Lizzie changed into a second dress for the evening, a beautiful, elegant feather piece created by her Mum.
As I captured each moment throughout the day, it was evident that Lizzie and Andy's love for each other was truly something special. Their wedding was not only a celebration of their commitment to one another but also a testament to the joy and happiness that surrounded them. What really stood out to me was how everyone really pulled together to make this day so incredibly special. Everything felt authentically them, with pieces of their family and friends woven throughout each part of the day. You could feel everyone's excitement that Lizzie & Andy were getting married.
It was an honor to be a part of such a beautiful occasion.
