FAQ

Can we meet you?

Yes of course! It's important you feel comfortable with your photographer, they will be with you all day on your wedding day! I always recommend a consultation (coffee & cake) prior to booking. We can discuss what you are looking for in your wedding photographer and we can go from there.

Where are you based and How far will you travel?

I'm based in Birmingham and I'm always happy to travel somewhere new!
When I first started photographing weddings, there were far less venues and it often meant visiting the same selection of venues on rotation. There is such a wider choice of wedding venues out there today and I'm always down for travelling a bit further and going somewhere new!

how would you define your photography style?

I like to shoot the day as honestly as it happens with some formality on particular areas of the day. For the most part I will be capturing the day naturally as it unfolds. This, paired with a healthy amount of formality will ensure you get those must have photos. You can relax and enjoy the day knowing the photographs that are important to you are taken care of.

How much time do you need on our day?

For the most part I will be capturing the day naturally as it unfolds. Aside from any formal photographs, it will be 5 minutes of your time here and there. Prior to the day we will set out a plan, align our timings and create a list of the photographs you must have and a list of photographs you'd like to have.
It is your day and we will do what is important to you.

Can we do some group photos?

Yes of course! I would usually suggest a maximum of 8-10 group photographs, we can cover these in 20 minutes. However if you would like more that's absolutely fine!

How will you pose us?

After photographing countless weddings over the last 12 years, I've learnt the best photos are created when the lighting is good and the subjects are moving. Movement is natural and easy, it gives you something to do and takes any feelings of awkwardness away. It creates natural interaction and connection between the subjects, whether that be while taking photos of couples or groups. I'll find the spot with the good lighting, give you a bit of direction and let you do the rest.

I like to allow 20 minutes for any group photographs; and 20-40 minutes for portraits of the two of you.

How many photographs will we receive?

Depending on the length of time I am with you on the day, you will receive anywhere between 400-600 images. However, if I take more that I think you'll love then I'll include these too. These numbers are not a limit, just a guide.

when do we get our photos back?

You can expect to receive your photographs 4 weeks after the wedding. Sometimes sooner, never later.

Will there be a second shooter?

Including a second photographer within your photography package is an investment. You wont regret it and I recommend it for weddings of 80+ guests. It means we can be in two places at once!

Wedding albums + additional services

You can include an engagement shoot within your package for an additional cost of £200. This is a great opportunity to get a feel for how I shoot and take the edge off any photography nerves I know a lot of couples can have! You can expect to receive 30 images displayed on your own private online gallery where you can view, share and download with your family & friends.

I offer a small range of luxury wedding albums, prices are available upon request.

Wedding invitations, Thank You cards and printing options are also available.

How do we book?

Once we have had a chat about your requirements and the different options available, I require a deposit of £250 to secure the date. The balance is due 4 weeks prior to the wedding.
